Foreign trade and customs operations, integrated with import documents

The customs declaration, exchange rate and additional costs are reflected directly in import documents in e:corg ERP.

What you gain for imports and customs

The real cost of imported goods, including customs charges, is reflected correctly in the ERP, without manual recalculation. For companies that import goods, e:corg ERP links the customs declaration to the import document, calculates the corresponding exchange rate, and helps settle VAT with the customs broker, without separate calculations outside the ERP.

What is already shipped in e:corg ERP

The capabilities below are already available for companies with import operations and a relationship with a customs broker.

Customs declaration on the import document

Data from the customs declaration is linked to the import document in e:corg ERP, so customs information stays connected to the received goods.

Exchange rate from the customs declaration

The exchange rate used to value imported goods is calculated based on the customs declaration data, including related additional costs.

Additional import costs in the calculation

Additional import-related costs (for example duties, fees) are included when determining the final cost of the goods.

VAT settlement with the customs broker

VAT settlement related to customs operations, in relation to the customs broker, is supported directly from documents recorded in the ERP.

Instructions for customs declarations

The team has clear instructions for working with customs declarations in e:corg ERP, reducing reliance on individual know-how.

How the customs flow is integrated into the ERP

When the customs declaration and import costs are linked directly in the ERP, the real cost of goods is correct from the first record. The customs flow is configured based on how your company actually works with the customs broker and import documents.

1. Map your current import and customs flow

We analyze how customs declarations, exchange rates and additional costs are currently handled in relation to import documents.

2. Configure import documents in the ERP

We set up the import document structure so it can be linked to the customs declaration and the relevant costs.

3. Test on real declarations

We validate the exchange rate and additional cost calculations using real customs declarations and import documents.

4. Train the team and activate the flow

The team uses the customs declaration instructions, and the import-customs flow becomes part of day-to-day operations in the ERP.

What is next: Intrastat reporting

For companies with intra-EU trade in goods, we are working on Intrastat reporting directly from e:corg ERP. The feature is in testing and not yet available to all customers.

Intrastat reporting from the ERP

The data needed for Intrastat declarations will be generated from the movements and documents already recorded in e:corg ERP.
